Biography[]
Twelve years ago, Wael was investigating the disappearance of residents by an organization he referred to as "Them". He regularly observed and searched their camps to find clues as to where the residents were going and how they recruited people to their organization. One day, Wael witnessed a group of people being forcibly taken away in an aircraft. Wondering where the people were being taken, Wael looted a crate that the aircraft left behind. As abductions increased, Wael devised a plan to have himself abducted in an aircraft to see where the people were being taken. To help prepare himself, he regularly at Stamina Fruit in case he needed to escape.
Wael later heard of a raid happening at a nearby village. He entered the village and was taken away himself in one of the aircraft. Wael was blindfolded the entire ride and kept himself calm. By managing to remain calm, he did not join the other prisoners who screamed or struggled and were taken to a different location. Wael later woke up on Madra Nöj with a bag containing a uniform and a note saying to "Be on Pûrû Jaa on the next New Moon". While waiting for the moon, Wael continued his investigation. He noticed that large amounts of fabric were being stored. He also heard rumors that something had happened to the King and began to worry after two weeks had passed.
Per the note, Wael arrived at the mountain on the New Moon. Shortly after midnight, an aircraft landed. The people that emerged blindfolded him and took him away though they did not manhandle him as they did last time. After flying for awhile and landing, Wael was put in an empty room and met Pwi Dua. He asked him many questions and then allowed him to leave, telling Wael to expect him again on the next New Moon. Wael deduced that Pwi Dua was their leader and that he must have passed some kind of test.
On the next New Moon, Wael was brought to their headquarters within a dense fog, though he could not remember how he got there. Wael then had another interview with Pwi Dua and learned the mans name. Pwi Dua subsequently chose Wael to become his pupil. He told Wael that his army was called Ajuju and that they were preparing for a great event called the laenge. After some time had passed, Wael learned more of Pwi Dua's plans. He found that their goal was to gather enough resources and power to reach something known as Koningomen. Pwi Dua told him they needed to build a really tall tower called the Draie to reach Koningomen. Pwi Dua explained that six attempts at building the Draie had been done in the past but all had failed since it takes a millennia to complete it. He then told Wael that they would gather the power of Meavora to accomplish this feat.
With this information, Wael concluded that Pwi Dua must be crazy as he thought Meavora to only be a fable. Sometime later, Pwi Dua showed Wael how he created his Henchmen. Wael watched as the people that were abducted were forced to walk into a blinding blue white in the fog. After seeing the people come out as Henchmen with their souls taken, Wael escaped as soon as he could. While in hiding, Wael noticed that the aircraft raids had intensified and Aëmoon had gone quiet.
Wael later witnessed Meavora take over Ga Ngazo as the throne room was lifted into the sky. He later learned that the Masked Warrior was real as well and that there was two of them (Kavere and Heia). He saw the warriors raid an aircraft on Madra Nöj and save a dozen people from being abducted. With this sight, Wael came to believe they may have a chance after all.
Sometime later, Wael found a small uninhabited island called Uma. After three weeks on the island, Wael saw a boat approaching. He noticed two men on the vessel, unaware that they were Joxu and Tre and that Joxu was holding an infant Tchia. Unable to trust anyone, Wael wrote his last note saying not to trust the Spider and to beware the New Moon. He then quickly left the island and was never seen again.
