- "Tchia's Soul-Meter represents her remaining Soul-Jump capacity. Replenish it by easting. Upgrade it by completing Shrine Challenges."
— Journal Description
The Soul-Meter is an ability available in Tchia. It is the meter that displays how long Tchia can possess an object or animal with her Soul-Jump ability. When possessing something, the meter will slowly deplete. Once it reaches zero, Tchia will stop possessing and will unable to Soul-Jump until the meter has replenished. While the meter will slowly replenish itself over time, only three bars on the meter will be restored. To restore more bars, Tchia can eat food food at a Food Stand or Campfire.
The Soul-Meter can be upgraded by Eating Soul Plants found at the end of Totem Shrine Door challenges. Eating one will permanently increase the meter by one slot. Tchia will start the game with three Soul-Meter slots. The Soul-Meter can be upgraded to a maximum of 10 slots. Doing so will also unlock the "Body and Soul" Trophy/Achievement.
