Maano are enemies that appear in Tchia.
Gameplay[]
Maano are pieces of fabric brought to life by Meavora. They are most commonly found at Maano Camps but can also be found patrolling key areas in the story. There are two types of Maano: Soldiers and Sentinels. Soldiers patrol areas and can quickly corner Tchia. If Tchia isn't quick enough, they will shoot fabric at her and restrain her with it, reducing her Stamina. Sentinels are stationary and can be found at high points that overlook areas. Sentinels constantly survey areas and can quickly spot Tchia when she is out in the open. When alerted, Sentinels will shoot beams at Tchia. These beams cause a small sphere to form, giving only a few seconds to escape it before it will explode. Aside from causing Tchia to fall over, it will also automatically wrap her in fabric and cause her Stamina to drop.
The only way to defeat a Maano is to burn them. This can be done in several ways such as possessing a piece of burning firewood and touching them, igniting an explosive like gas canisters or laterns, or throwing explosives at them. As Sentinels are found at high points, Soul-Throw is the most effective way to hurl an explosive object at them to destroy them. If Tchia is restrained with fabric and her Stamina is reduced to zero, she will pass out. She will then wake up in a locked cage within the Maano Camp and can escape by possessing a nearby object. To help prevent this from happenin, Tchia can upgrade her Stamina to make it easer to escape the fabric restraints. Additionally, stowing explosive objects in the Backpack can be useful to destroy Maano if none are around. Maano Camps are completed once all Maano and Fabric piles have been burned.
Following the completion of the story, all Maano will be replaced with Henchmen. Despite this, they function exactly the same as Manno and are defeated in the same manner.
