Kavere lives as the lone guardian on Ieji Sinöe. She grew wise over the years and built a respectful relationship with the Mwakens. She also developed a gift that allows her to change the size and shape of objects. Many years ago, she confronted the God of the Depths, Meavora, who had been devouring children across the archipelago since the beginning of time. She used her powers to transform Meavora into a wood worm and banished him to the bottom of Hua. Years later, however, a local Shaman named Pwi Dua sought to revive Meavora. He caused the local populace to grow fearful of Meavora's wrath unless a sacrifice was made. He then directed the populace to kidnap the archipelago's rulers, Joxu and Heia, and force them to sacrifice their children, Makanu and Tchia, to Meavora. After Makanu was thrown into the pit by Pwi Dua, a disguised Kavere intervened and attacked him. This allowed Joxu to escape with Tchia and go into hiding but it cost Kavere her arm. Kavere managed to escape with Heia and took her to Ieji Sinöe to keep her safe. After introducing herself, Kavere then spent the next twelve years training Heia. She did this not only to help Heia cope with the loss of her family and get revenge but to also stop Meavora once and for all. It was during this time that she also gifted Heia with her traditional warrior outfit to disguise her identity.

Years later, Heia rescued Tchia from Ga Ngazo, she brought her daughter to Ieji Sinöe and departed. Kavere noticed that the Mwakens had imprisoned Tchia and watched as she played a song for them with her Ukulele. Afterwards, she told the Mwakens to let the girl go. Once free, Tchia collected items for a Coutume and traveled to Kavere's home. After Kavere introduced herself, she explained the nature of the Xetiwa. She then used her power to grow a small vegetable to a large size and fed it to the Xetiwa. Kavere then told Tchia that while she knew what she was looking for, Tchia needed to learn of her family's past first. Kavere took Tchia to the nearby Banyan Tree and told her to go inside the brush to find the answers she was looking for. When Tchia returned from the tree, she found Kavere standing beside her Boat. Kavere told her that Meavora would retaliate by attacking the people she loved. Before she could say anything else, Tchia hopped onto her boat and started sailing away to save her friends. While she promised Kavere that she would return, Tchia was unaware that Kavere had wanted her to stay so that she could meet her mother.

Days later, Heia returned to Ieji Sinöe told Kavere of Joxu's death at the hands of Pwi Dua. Tchia later returned to the island and met with them. Kavere told the girl that there was more she needed to know and directed her to the Banyan Tree. After Tchia returned from the tree, they concocted a plan to save all of the children that had been devoured by Meavora. Kavere gave Tchia a Boucan and told her to allow herself to be devoured by Meavora so that she could throw it into his heart and force him to release all of the children. Tchia and Heia traveled back o Ga Ngazo and successfully carried out the plan. With Meavora now gone and Pwi Dua in hiding, peace had been restored in the archipelago. Kavere would later say her goodbyes to the Mwakens and departed Ieji Sinöe. She moved to Uma to look after the children Meavora had devoured and helped Tchia and Louise transform it into a refuge for orphans and lost children. Kavere passed away years later and was buried beside Joxu and Tre. The traditional mask she used as the Masked Warrior was placed beside her grave.
